It is berry season here in our little garden and the timing could not be more perfect.
The kids LOVE picking berries when they are out back playing. The eat them throughout the day and know how to wait for the berries to get really ripe before they pick them.

Well this is our second year with blueberry bushes and so far they are doing pretty good. They are loaded with berries this year with very little maintence. We also added a sharpblue blueberry bush to the mix because my mom found one at Costco. It had a few blossoms but no berries this year. [...]

Hurray! We picked our first blueberry today. We put in 4 blueberry bushes in early May, 2 are Misty Blueberries and 2 are Sunshine Blueberries. We wanted 2 different types of blueberries to help with pollination and also because they ripen at different times so we wanted an extended season of having ripe berries.

I just wanted to post about our strawberries. They are such an easy and pretty plant. This morning our son picked 2 ripe berries so I was only able to take a pic of the unripe berries. These are Eversweet, everbearing strawberries. Tweet
